- Operate and optimize the pilot/lab line for evaluating protein spinnability
- Improvement of spinning process to increase fibre performance
- Planning, carrying out and analysing experiments
- Development of novel processes
- Supervision, development and improvement of measuring methods for process monitoring
- Carrying out relevant material testing
- Work closely and flexibly with our interdisciplinary team of materials scientists engineers, and synthetic biologists
- BSc or higher (MSc or PhD) in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or equivalent work experience.
- High levels of creativity and experience in planning experiments
- Experience in handling chemicals
- Good documentation practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint
- Experience with analysing data using the Python or other programming languages
- Nice to have: Experience working in characterising materials
- Nice to have: Experience working in fibre spinning processes
