A highly reputable organisation specialising in the energy sector are seeking an experienced service and commissioning engineer with a mechanical bia.

As the service and commissioning engineer you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, commissioning of small works and reactive call outs on various District Heating, Energy Centre and BMS systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing backups of software and strategy files as required for all sites visited under a service agreement and updating servers on a regular basis with backup
  • Taking electrical LAN maps of site architecture (if applicable) for all sites visited under a service
  • Designing and implementing PPM planners for all sites visited under a service agreement
  • Care and maintenance of all controls equipment as per company policy, for all sites visited under a service agreement
  • Attending callouts and breakdowns as and when required
  • Complete site reports for each visit performed, detailing work carried out and recommendations
  • Responsible for commissioning various DDC control systems (Trend, Cylon, Siemens and Tridium) completing wiring and commissioning schedules, updating control panel drawings and the description of operation in the commissioning file (Additional systems training will be provided where necessary)
  • Ensure the project meets the clients/consultants design specification in relation to BMS controls installation, design, and implementation
  • Ensure all projects meet the Programme of Works and report back to the relevant manager where contractual, design or resource issues occur
  • Responsible for creating software, wiring & commissioning schedules and O&M documentation complete with description of operation
  • Ensure that all works are carried out within the project method statement and risk assessment as well as the companies and client's health and safety policy

Experience required:

  • Strong mechanical engineering bias with broad experience of any of the following: CHP, heat pumps & boiler systems
  • Electrically competent
  • Ability to interpret and alter existing control strategies/panel drawings/plant schematics
  • Understanding of HVAC
