HVAC Installation/Service Engineer
Location: Watford
Salary: 17-25 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent contract

Nicholas Associates are proud to be working on behalf of our client, a forward-thinking and progressive company within the HVAC industry. We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Installation/Service Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious customer base across a wide range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, telecoms, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain a variety of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including split systems, multi-split systems, and VRV/VRF systems
  • Effectively diagnose faults and failures with equipment, providing timely and efficient solutions
  • Perform routine planned preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all necessary documentation related to maintenance works is accurately completed and coordinated
  • Liaise with domestic and commercial clients to maintain positive relationships and deliver excellent service
  • Adhere to health & safety regulations and client-specific site requirements at all times
  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 support
  • Carry out risk assessments and ensure a safe working environment for both colleagues and clients
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide updates as required

Who We're Looking For:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, with F-Gas/EN 378 compliance
  • Proven experience with VRV/VRF systems, coldrooms, chilled water systems, and close control systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Electrical competence, including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits (desirable)
  • A "can-do" attitude with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
  • Willingness to work away from home and be flexible with working hours, including night work if needed
  • Full driving licence and the ability to obtain a DBS certificate
