About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled HVAC Engineer with a Mechanical Bias to join our clients team. This role is integral to ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of critical building systems in a Hard Facilities Management (Hard FM) environment. Based in SW1A, you'll be part of a professional team maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on critical HVAC and building systems.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across systems including HVAC, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Building Management Systems: Operate and troubleshoot building management systems (BMS) to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, company policies, and health & safety regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside other engineers and contractors to achieve seamless service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Recognised and relevant UK qualification in an engineering discipline (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a multi-skilled engineering role, preferably within a Hard FM environment.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of critical building systems.
  • Solid understanding of building management systems (BMS).

Desirable:

  • Existing Authorised Person (AP) qualification.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Skills and Attributes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and system optimisation.
