About the Role:

Are you an experienced Lead Engineer with a strong background in building maintenance? We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team, overseeing maintenance operations across a commercial contract based in Central London.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, boilers, pumps, and ventilation systems. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC, plumbing, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations, including Health & Safety, Gas Safety, and Legionella control.
  • Oversee subcontractors and ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the team.
What We're Looking For:

? Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, or HVAC. Additional certifications (e.g., F-Gas, Gas Safe) are desirable.? Experience: Proven experience in building maintenance and mechanical systems, ideally in a lead or supervisory role.? Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.? Knowledge: Understanding of building services, compliance standards, and best practices in maintenance.
