My well-known and busy client is looking for an Mechanical Design Engineer to join them to work on a varity of London Underground projects working in and around the London area. This is a long term freelance opportunity with a client who have a steady flow of work and are busy tendering for new jobs.

The chosen candidate will need proven experience working on London Underground projects.

My client will assess you for your IR35 determination.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Leading and assisting with the preparation of documentation relating to projects from tender to commission
  • Engaging with and developing good working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including LUL / local authorities / Tier 1 contractor's clients and other disciplines
  • Manage delivery teams Help to develop the production of drawings, reports and specifications
  • Scope and supervise surveys
  • Input to and preparation of bids and proposals
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team

Candidate requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering - degree or experience
  • Previous experience working with on LUL station upgrades.
  • A validCSCS card andPTS
