As an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll work closely with the M&E Director, a recognised expert in designing low-energy buildings.
As a recognised "Investor in People," they focus on attracting, developing, and retaining their staff.
In an industry where the average length of service is less than two years, their employees stay for an average of four years, which speaks volumes about their culture and reputation as a business.
Based in their London office, you'll become a key part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside architects, civil and structural engineers, BIM technicians, and M&E Design Engineers.
Rather than being pigeonholed into only new builds or refurbishments, you'll gain experience in both. This ensures your continued development as an engineer, working on a diverse range of projects, including education, healthcare, emergency services, defence, residential, and listed buildings.
You'll benefit from variety, one week, you might be involved in a 10K specialist survey and the next, a 50M new build development.
Working within an integrated, multidisciplinary consultancy will help you develop into a well-rounded, commercially aware engineer.
Their culture recognises and rewards high achievers, so you can expect to be fast-tracked from Engineer to Senior in as little as a year.
You'll use IES, H2X, or Hevacomp to design, model, and size HVAC services. You'll also produce calculations, specifications, and equipment schedules, while attending site visits and progress meetings.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least two years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience working for an engineering consultancy or a design and build contractor.
