We are currently seeking a skilled Shift Mechanical Engineer with expertise in plant room operations to join our dynamic team. As a Shift Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical systems, particularly focusing on plant room equipment.
  • Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensuring swift resolution to minimise downtime.
  • Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of mechanical systems.
  • Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure seamless operations.
  • Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including logbooks and reports.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 City and Guilds qualification in Plumbing or Building Services Engineering.
  • Proven experience working with plant room equipment and mechanical systems in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.

Preferred Skills:

  • Additional certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and controls.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
