Job Title: Shift Mechanical Engineer (Plant Room Experience Required)

We are currently seeking a skilled Shift Mechanical Engineer with expertise in plant room operations to join our dynamic team. As a Shift Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems within our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical systems, particularly focusing on plant room equipment.
- Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensuring swift resolution to minimise downtime.
- Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of mechanical systems.
- Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure seamless operations.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including logbooks and reports.
- Adhering to health and safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Level 3 City and Guilds qualification in Plumbing or Building Services Engineering.
- Proven experience working with plant room equipment and mechanical systems in a similar role.
- Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to mechanical systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
Preferred Skills:
- Additional certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering or related fields.
- Experience with HVAC systems and controls.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
