Mechanical Shift Engineer – Moorgate
Salary: From £48,000 - £52,000  per year
Job Type: Full-time | 12-hour rotating continental shift rota

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join their team in Moorgate. You’ll be responsible for maintaining building systems, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out routine maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned maintenance on mechanical, and HVAC systems along with basic electrical works
  • Monitor BMS for alarms and system performance.
  • Respond quickly to faults, including A/C issues, plumbing, and drainage repairs.
  • Conduct investigations and carry out corrective repairs.
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
  • Build strong relationships with Facilities Managers and clients.

Requirements:

City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Heating and Ventilation (or equivalent)
Experience in building maintenance
Strong technical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and work with CMMS/BMS systems
Team player with good customer service skills

Desirable:

Time-served electrical or mechanical apprenticeship
Experience in critical environments
Familiarity with EVAC drainage systems and ACoPs L8
