We are seeking a dedicated and talented Mechanical Engineer to join our Client's property department in London. The successful candidate should be skilled in all aspects of mechanical engineering.

Client Details

Our client is a prominent not-for-profit educational institution situated in London. As a large organisation, they are renowned for their commitment to excellence in education and research.

Description

  • Carrying out mechanical maintenance both reactive and planned on a range of equipment including AHU's, piped and ducted systems, pumps, pressurisation units, plumbing and pipefitting.
  • The post holder shall have knowledge of L8 requirements both theoretical and practical.
  • Responding in a 'hands-on' capacity to Critical Plant breakdowns and undertaking remedial action in the field.
  • Completing and recording PPM tasks.
  • Carrying out routine inspections of plant and systems during each shift.
  • Assisting in implementing emergency and contingency procedures as required from time to time.

Profile

  • Appropriate City and Guilds Certificate and/or Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship. Must be able to demonstrate a range of M&E skills and experience.
  • Minimum two years' experience as a heating and ventilation fitter/building services, or equivalent working on the mechanical services installations within buildings on a large estate.
  • Has received some specialist training and has experience in Condition Based Maintenance, refrigeration, air conditioning, combustion, pumps, valves, legionella, sanitary services, controls systems.

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary range of approximately £37,000 to £45,000 GBP.
  • Annual Leave is 30 days, plus 8 statutory and 4 additional days during the Christmas holiday period.
  • Automatic entry into the London Pension Fund with the option to opt out.
  • This post is permanent.
  • All offers of appointment are subject to City receiving satisfactory references and medical clearance.
