I am currently working with a leading M&E contractor who are looking to expand their senior team and take on another Principal Mechanical Design Engineer:
My client is an established market leader providing the design, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems to multiple sectors: commercial offices, banking establishments, data centres, education, government buildings, residential infrastructure, retail and pharmaceutical laboratories.

Key Duties of the Principal Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Contributing to the internal design team in the delivery of Stage 4b/c and Stage 5 level of detail design work.
- Ensure projects are delivered to high technical standards.
- Ensure that company quality standards are being followed at all stages of the design process.
- Develop calculations and design drawings ensuring they are appropriate and comply with the client’s brief.
- Attend design and site meetings.
- Carry out site surveys.
- Review technical submissions noting any discrepancies.
- Work with Associates to deliver individual projects.
- Collaborate with other design engineers and project managers to identify and develop solutions in line with the project requirements.
- Be client facing during and throughout the length of the project.

On offer for the Principal Mechanical Design Engineer as well as a salary of £70-72.5k:
- £5k car allowance.
- Travel costs expensed.
- Private healthcare.
- Pension scheme matched up to 8%.
- Annual salary bonuses capped at 10%.
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
