Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer Role & Responsibilities:
- Installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose and repair faults in air conditioning and refrigeration units
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, guidelines, and company standards
- Perform routine maintenance and system checks to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to complete projects efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by liaising directly with clients and offering solutions to their HVAC needs
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of work carried out
- Assist with the commissioning of new systems and upgrades to existing systems
- Adhere to health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
- Keep up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members when required
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer Skills & Experience:
- Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (essential)
- City & Guilds or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Level 2 + 3)
- F-Gas Certification (essential)
- Strong experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, systems, and components
- Ability to diagnose and repair faults efficiently
- Excellent understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills for client interaction and reporting
- A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to self-motivate
- Previous experience in a commercial setting is preferred
- Willingness to undergo further training and development to enhance skills
- Chiller knowledge is an advantage
- Previous exposure to M&E building services is preferred
