My client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its dynamic London team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in large-scale residential projects to contribute to the delivery of high-profile residential and hotel developments across the UK and internationally.

The Role
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will play a crucial role in the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems, ensuring they meet client and regulatory requirements while pushing the boundaries of sustainability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the mechanical design of large-scale residential and hotel projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including sustainability consultants and electrical engineers, to develop integrated and efficient building systems.
* Produce detailed mechanical designs, specifications, and calculations using industry-leading software.
* Attend client meetings, providing technical expertise and solutions to complex engineering challenges.
* Conduct site visits and inspections to oversee project progress and ensure quality standards are met.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical development within the team.
* Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.
Key Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
* Extensive experience working on large-scale residential projects in the UK, with additional hospitality sector experience beneficial.
* Proficiency in mechanical design software, including IES, Hevacomp, and Revit.
* Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, CIBSE standards, and sustainability principles.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.
