Job Advertisement: Civils Works Inspector – Surface Highways and Cycle Ways (Morson Talent)
Location: Various locations across London (on-site with occasional office visits in Central London.
Pay Rate: £290 per day PAYE
About the Role:
Morson Talent is currently recruiting for an experienced Civils Works Inspector to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding team. This role will focus on overseeing civil engineering works for Surface Highways and Cycle Ways projects across London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality infrastructure, compliance with technical standards, and managing day-to-day site operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Site Inspections: Regularly conduct inspections of surface highways and cycle ways works, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve quality issues, providing feedback and working with contractors to implement corrective actions as needed.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and the delivery team to ensure projects progress smoothly, providing detailed reports and addressing any potential issues.
- Site Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring work is aligned with technical specifications and health and safety requirements.
- Liaison: Act as a liaison between contractors, project teams, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track and within budget.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience in delivering surface highways works, with a strong understanding of civil engineering site management and inspections.
- Professional Qualifications: Membership with ICWCI (Institute of Clerk of Works) or IEng (Incorporated Engineer) with ICE, or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of construction methods, materials, and civil engineering standards. Experience identifying quality control issues and managing site safety is essential.
- Personality: A proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset. Comfortable adapting to different project requirements and working within a growing team.
