Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Remuneration: 19.23 per hour
Contract Details: Temporary, 3 months
Responsibilities:
Our client, a leading tech company, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join their team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting facilities management activities across various client sites in London.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and instructions to determine the scope of work required.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Lead Technician to ensure compliance with local legislation.
- Adhere to the Maintenance Management system to achieve GMP standards and service level agreements.
- Undertake installation works, repairs, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with health and safety protocols.
- Accountable for planned maintenance activities in compliance with site SOPs and procedures.
- Maintain plant and utilities to ensure proper operation and record-keeping.
- Provide technical support for projects and assist with commissioning and handover activities.
- Ensure completion of work orders and adhere to the Equipment Maintenance System.
- Initiate and receive Permits to Work and follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
- Utilise and monitor the BEMS for energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with line manager to review and improve Planned Maintenance Worksheets.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, using personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Provide regular reports on engineering team activity to line manager.
- Communicate effectively in English and provide instructions to sub-contractors.
Working Life:
- You will be working across a large office site on a daily basis.
- English language proficiency is essential, as it is the main business language.
- The role will be structured on a shift basis over a 5-day week.
- Occasional weekend, late shift, or bank holiday work may be required, arranged in advance.
- On-call rotation and emergency call-outs may also be required.
- Flexibility to work on another site within the contract may be necessary.
About You:
- Proven previous experience in a similar role within a multinational environment.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of facilities management and customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety Regulations.
Must-Haves:
- NVQ2 Mechanical Engineering.
- Solid working experience.
- Experience in an office environment.
- FCU maintenance knowledge.
Ideally:
- NVQ3 Mechanical Engineering.
