Senior/Lead Planner - MEP required to work for Principal Contractor on High Speed Rail Project.

MEP/Mechanical & Electrical works for construction, fit-out and commissioning of Tunnels, Shafts & Associated MEP Infrastructure Works.

Permanent Staff Positions based around Old Oak Common, North Acton and West London.


MEP Lead Planner Role Brief:
Reporting to the Planning Manager for Shafts and MEP the Lead Planner for MEP, will be responsible for the MEP programme development, co-ordination, and reporting for the Assets.
Key Responsibilities
-Develop the MEP programme - focusing on construction, commissioning, and handover. Integrating the process timelines and the subcontract supplier programmes.
-Ensuring the programme meets all required access dates, milestones and key dates, contract data and works information.
-Interface with the supply chain and assets to ensure that there is a consistency in planning and management of subcontract programmes.
-Assess the subcontractors Clause 31 and 32 submissions, ensuring that these programmes are compliant to the subcontract requirements
-Assess subcontract changes and impacted programmes, supporting the commercial and package management in their assessment.
-Contribute to assessment of MEP programme risks and programme risk analysis, including development and implementation of mitigation measures.
-Progress monitoring and regular updating of the programme, including forecasting of potential problem areas and mitigation proposals as required.

Essential:
-Experience in a similar level role, responsible for the Programme co-ordination of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health systems, during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
-A professional qualification or degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related subject
-Knowledge of the development and implementation of asset structures, planning standards, WBS and planning processes.
-Competence in Primavera P6 and Tilos
-Knowledge of Safety, Environment and Risk Management
-Flexible with good organisation skills
Experience of MEP Programme Management on a major projects
Experience of Early Contractor Involvement models and NEC forms of contract
