A prestigious cardiology practice in Harley Street, Central London, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Medical Secretary to join their team. Key Details:

  • Part-time position: 3 days per week
  • Fixed days: Tuesday and Thursday
  • Third day: Flexible (to be agreed upon)
  • Salary: £21,000 per annum (pro-rata from £35,000 full-time equivalent)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Managing the consultant's schedule and appointments
  • Handling patient inquiries and correspondence
  • Preparing and managing medical reports and letters
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Identifying areas for practice improvement and efficiency
  • Supporting research and educational initiatives

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a medical secretary, preferably in cardiology
  • Audio typing proficiency
  • DGL software expertise
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Private medical practice experience
  • Cardiology-specific knowledge
  • Understanding of medical billing and insurance processes
  • Familiarity with research protocols
