About Us

We are an ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted 2023) secondary academy, established in 2018 to provide an excellent education for children in Wimbledon.

Two years after opening, we moved into our brand-new building which is modern, bright and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities in every area of the curriculum. Main Areas of Responsibility

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the first point of contact for all medical issues of students, administering first aid and attending to minor accidents or summoning expert/emergency support if necessary
  • Ensuring students going to hospital are accompanied, and parents are informed
  • Maintaining records on all medically related incidents/interventions and circulate as necessary
  • Maintaining a list of students with specific health conditions and liaising with parents as to appropriate action to take in the event of an attack
  • Ensuring that suitable and sufficient training is provided for staff to administer medication and support where required
  • Maintaining the list of staff who can administer first aid within the Academy, and providing opportunities for trained first aiders to practice first aid
  • Being aware, and informing staff as necessary, of non-accidental injuries, patterns of illness etc.
  • Contacting parents as necessary
  • Maintaining the Academy medical room and first aid kits throughout the school and in school vehicles
  • Storing all student medication appropriately
  • Assisting with arrangements for vaccinations
  • Monitoring and logging the use of toilets during lesson times
  • Managing lost property
  • Monitoring the ‘on-call’ email and escalating without delay, fully briefing SLT on any urgent matters arising via student services
  • Managing and maintaining student individual healthcare plans
  • Leading on student uniform loaning
  • Co-managing the student hatch from 1pm daily.
  • Ensuring all registers are completed and following up with staff as necessary
  • Retrieving, filing and logging in MIS any past and future medical absence notes
  • Identifying students who may require support in improving their attendance because of medical issues and liaising with the Attendance Support and Welfare Officer
  • Assisting in maintaining the late book and signing in/out lists, and transferring entries into MIS
  • Covering Reception from 7.30am to 8.30am
Qualifications & Experience
