We are looking for an experienced and professional Medical Scheduler to join our client's team in Fitzrovia !

Job title: Medical Scheduler

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Temp ongoing (no set end date)

Working schedule: 9:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Location: Fitzrovia

Pay: 15-17 an hour

Duties will include:

Responsible for gathering patient-specific demographic and provider information to accurately assess the nature of the request and determine the appropriate appointment area; referral authorizations, and/or pre-service deposits to ensure the patient arrives on time and is prepared for their procedure or visit.

Coordinates care though electronic correspondence from providers to ensure follow-up documentation such as progress notes are sent to referring agencies or individuals.

Coordination of outside medical records, imaging, lab results, etc. are also managed to ensure providers receive all necessary information to meet the needs of the patient.

Responding to and interacts with a variety of individuals which may include patients, customers, referring physicians.

Appropriate interpretation and application of policies regarding scheduling criteria and medical need are essential.

To provide exceptional service and navigate multiple systems simultaneously and is expected to be available or talking with patients and healthcare professionals 80 percent of the day, with the ability to service inquiries without consultation.

Experience within the medical industry

Strong administrative skills

Excellent written and verbal English

Able to work under pressure and ensure accuracy

Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritise work

Strong communication and organisational skills
