  • The Membership Manager at the British Acupuncture Council plays a key role in delivering membership services and leading the membership team in providing excellent service to members, with a focus on growth and engagement strategies.

The Membership Manager plays a key role in the British Acupuncture Council's (BAcC) team, with responsibility for the delivery of membership services throughout the membership lifecycle. As Membership Manager, you will lead the membership team in delivering a consistently excellent service to our members. 

The membership team works closely and collaboratively with other members of the BAcC team to ensure a consistently high standard of delivery for our members, and to deliver growth and engagement strategies for our membership. 

We are looking for candidates with: 

  • experience of leading a team
  • a strong interest in membership
  • experience of working within a professional membership body
  • experience of dealing with health professionals and students
  • experience of working with, and ideally developing, CRM systems or other databases
  • analytical thinking, with a clear understanding of how to interrogate data for key insights
  • the ability to present to and engage with key audiences, including groups of students and other potential members
  • excellent IT skills, with confidence in using a range of MS Office packages
  • strong interpersonal skills, with an approachable personality and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide a high level of service to the BAcC’s Members and to promote the benefits of membership.  

You should also have a keen interest in acupuncture, a passion for promoting it as a valid healthcare choice and be able to work collaboratively, as part of a small team, to provide an excellent service to our members. 

The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) is the UK’s largest, member-led, professional body for traditional acupuncturists, with nearly 3,000 members. The aim of the BAcC is to establish the highest standards of professional practice for the acupuncture profession in the UK.

We advocate on behalf of traditional acupuncture professionals and maintain the highest professional standards to protect the general public. We provide our members with a wide range of services to facilitate their practice and we also act for the traditional acupuncture profession as a whole.
