We are looking for a Senior Account Director. Join our client, a purpose-driven creative agency and ESG consultancy with over 25 years of sustainability expertise. Based in London and New York, they help global brands craft impactful sustainability strategies and communicate them through creative storytelling, design, and media. Their team works behind the scenes with some of the world's leading brands to enhance reputations, build trust, and drive meaningful change.

Main Responsibilities as a Senior Account Director

  • Client Management: Act as the primary contact for key clients, fostering and maintaining strong relationships. You should possess the confidence and expertise to provide guidance to clients independently in most scenarios, without requiring input from senior team members.
  • Media Relations: Demonstrate a keen instinct for identifying newsworthy angles, even within complex or dense material, and craft compelling messaging aligned with client goals. Build and sustain strong relationships with key journalists.
  • Strategic Planning and Campaign Oversight: Take the lead in developing and executing impactful PR and communication strategies and campaigns that align with client objectives.
  • Writing: Exhibit strong writing skills, producing high-quality content across various formats. Create engaging copy—both short- and long-form—and deliver or edit content under tight deadlines when needed.
  • Team Leadership: Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Inspire and mentor team members with strong leadership abilities.
  • Accountability: Ensure the delivery of high-quality communications that meet client expectations. Maintain excellent attention to detail and effectively manage your own and your team’s time.
  • Commercial Acumen: Maintain a clear understanding of account profitability, ensuring project work aligns with agreed scopes. Identify and pursue opportunities for growth with both new and existing clients.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Global frameworks, standards, and legislation for sustainability reporting, including TCFD, SASB, GRI, UNGPRF, IFRS S1 and S2, and ESRS (CSRD).
  • Trends and best practices in corporate financial and ESG reporting.
  • Driving client growth and business development, achieving and surpassing revenue goals, and effectively managing project costs within budget constraints.
  • Leadership and management of teams and personnel.
  • Education in a relevant field, such as environmental studies.
