A leading Global Bank is seeking a dedicated Operational Risk Associate to join their team in London. The successful candidate will have the chance to review and challenge internal risk events, support the delivery of Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), and assist with the Third Party Risk Management process. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong numerical and analytical abilities, and a collaborative nature.
What you'll do:
As an Operational Risk Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of key ORM deliverables. You will be responsible for reviewing and challenging internal risk events, ensuring that the root causes are understood, any control issues are identified, and appropriate remedial actions are taken. Your role will also involve supporting the delivery of Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), assisting with the review and assessment of Operational Risk scenarios and capital calculations, as well as supporting the Third Party Risk Management process. Additionally, you will provide first line support for local operational risk systems and coordinate and prepare Operational Risk Committee agenda, papers, and minutes.
- Support the delivery of key Operational Risk Management (ORM) deliverables.
- Review and challenge internal risk events ensuring root cause of events are understood.
- Identify control issues and ensure appropriate remedial actions are taken.
- Support the delivery of Risk & Control Self-Assessments.
- Assist with the review and assessment of Operational Risk scenarios and capital calculations.
- Support the Third Party Risk Management process.
- Provide first line support for local operational risk systems.
