THE COMPANY

Our client is a successful independent production company producing high-quality drama. 

THE ROLE

As Production Finance Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of Production Finance for the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment of freelance financial controllers and production accountants,  and provide support throughout a production. 
  • Attend and lead cost report meetings, reporting to the Director of Finance on any key variances and issues. 
  • Setup of new productions – budgets, creating production cashflows, helping in set up of Production SPVs, opening bank account. 
  • Regularly update the Production Finance manual. 
  • Manage tax credit audit process, scheduling audit timings and ensuring documentation is accessible from production. 
  • Review monthly management account reporting from productions, and work with Management Accountants in consolidating production reporting. 
  • Lead on Production Finance handover once a show has wrapped, managing the transition to Post Production Accountant. 

THE PERSON 

As an experienced Production Finance Manager, you will have significant experience working on High-End Drama and/or Film. 

You will have an extensive knowledge of industry-specific rules and guidelines including Schedule D status, IR35, and PACT/Equity agreements. 

You must have experience using multiple production accounting software packages, with specialist knowledge of Eclipse/TPH Payroll. 

Lastly, you will need to be able to estimate and track UK and Foreign Tax Credit incentives.
