HSE Officer – The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSEQ professional to join a leading business in the rail sector. This is a dynamic role that will see you working directly with partners and teams across multiple sites nationwide, ensuring compliance, driving best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

HSE Officer – Key Responsibilities:

- Site-Focused HSEQ Support: Work directly on-site with teams, embedding best practices in Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality management

- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure full adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards across all rail projects

- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with operational teams, subcontractors, and key partners to promote a positive HSEQ culture

- Audits and Inspections: Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards

- Training and Development: Deliver HSEQ training and toolbox talks to enhance awareness and drive continuous improvement

HSE Officer – You:

- Proven experience in an HSEQ role within the rail sector (or a similarly high-risk, regulated industry)

- Strong working knowledge of rail safety standards, legislation, and best practices

- A hands-on, proactive approach, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels

- NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma (or equivalent) and ideally Sentinel PTS certification

- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally as required
