Are you passionate about creating safer communities and supporting victims of domestic abuse and violence? Lewisham Council is seeking a dedicated and organized Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Project Officer - MARAC Coordinator to join our Safer Communities Team.

This is an opportunity to take a pivotal role in coordinating our Domestic Abuse Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (DA MARAC) process, ensuring its smooth operation and contributing to the implementation of Lewisham's Domestic Abuse and VAWG Strategy (Apply online only).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer the DA MARAC process, including case referrals, meeting agendas, and action follow-ups.
  • Deliver training and briefings on MARAC processes to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze referral and demographic data to identify and address emerging trends and inequalities.
  • Collaborate with local agencies and stakeholders to enhance support for high-risk victims.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records to support monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of VAWG-related policies, ensuring compliance with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.

What We're Looking For:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and policy relating to VAWG.
  • Experience in coordinating partnership projects, particularly those supporting vulnerable groups.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage data, prepare reports, and meet deadlines.
