The Role Purpose:
As the Quality Assurance, Improvement & Training Officer, you will lead on gathering insights and recommendations from Safeguarding Practice Reviews, including Rapid Reviews, to design and implement multi-agency safeguarding training. This training will empower individuals and agencies working with children to ensure their safety and well-being.

You will also oversee the coordination of the Haringey Safeguarding Children's Partnership (HSCP) Quality Assurance and Performance Framework, manage the HSCP Communications Plan, and deputise for the HSCP Business Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Coordination:

    • Support the Strategic Business Partnership Manager with child death duties and deputise as necessary.
    • Oversee the HSCP Quality Assurance and Performance Framework, coordinating audit programmes and QA projects.
    • Develop quality assurance methodologies and instruments, ensuring strong links between HSCP and Children's Social Care QA activities.
    • Engage children, young people, and families in QA work through participation programmes.
  • Training & Development:

    • Design and deliver safeguarding training informed by best practices and learnings from local and national trends.
    • Coordinate policies, procedures, and multi-agency training to support statutory, voluntary, and community organisations.
    • Ensure training provision is within budget and delivers best value for money.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Develop and implement the HSCP annual audit programme.
    • Monitor and evaluate service practices and provision, feeding back findings to improve outcomes.
    • Promote best practices in safeguarding and ensure QA activities align with organisational objectives.
  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Foster strong working relationships across local agencies, promoting shared learning and improvement.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the HSCP business plan.
    • Actively champion diversity, equality, and inclusion in all aspects of work.

About You:
The successful candidate will bring:

  • Extensive experience in children's services and multi-agency collaboration.
  • Strong expertise in safeguarding, QA methodologies, and workforce training.
  • Proven ability to analyse data, develop policies, and implement impactful improvements.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

You will demonstrate a commitment to promoting equality and safeguarding children, alongside a deep understanding of the complexities of safeguarding practice.
