The Role - Primary Teacher - Lewisham

• Ensure that all areas of the primary curriculum are covered
• Manage a class of primary school students and be responsible for their progress
• Create a positive learning environment in the classroom by organizing learning resources and creating displays that encourage students to learn
• Developing a plan, preparing materials, and presenting lessons that meet the needs of all the students within the class with a wide range of ability
• Assist pupils with the preparation and marking of their work in a positive way
• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for all pupils by implementing all child protection and safeguarding measures in accordance with the policies of the school and the federal government
• Provide feedback on a pupil's progress to parents and carers at parent's evenings and other meetings in relation to their child's progress
• Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, as well as assist colleagues in delivering this specific area of the curriculum
• Assist other teachers, teaching assistants, and other relevant professionals in planning and coordinating work with the class
• It may be necessary for you to meet with other professionals such as education welfare officers and educational psychologists if necessary.
