We are looking to appoint an outstanding Class Teacher to join our Primary School team this coming April or September 2025. ECT & Experienced Teachers welcome to apply

 

Role: Year 4 Class Teacher

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Pay scale: London (MPS1 – UPS1)

Location: Lambeth

Start date: April or September 2025

This post would suit a driven, ambitious and passionate practitioner, determined to a deliver a high standard of education to our pupils. We are looking for an enthusiastic class teacher who will make a real difference to pupil outcomes and life chances.

The ideal candidate will be able to plan and deliver stimulating, challenging and stretching lessons, whilst setting appropriate differentiated and thought-provoking work for pupils of all abilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver consistently good (or better) lessons
  • Carry out teaching duties, as required, in accordance with the schemes of work and the National Curriculum.
  • Identify clear teaching objectives and specify how they will be taught and assessed.
  • Set tasks which challenge pupils and ensure high level of interest.
  • Set clear targets building on prior attainment.
  • Provide clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge.
  • Make effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of the programmes of study.
  • Ensure effective teaching and the best use of available time.
  • Monitor and intervene to ensure excellent learning and discipline.
  • Provide pastoral support to ensure development of the whole pupil
