A unique opportunity, in a varied role, to make a real difference to Diversity and Inclusion in the Economics community. Reporting to the Member Operations Director, the postholder will promote and support our diversity & inclusion initiatives, particularly growing and coordinating two key Networks: The Diversity and Inclusion Network as part of the Diversity & Inclusion Programme and the UK Women in Economics Network, reporting to the Women’s Committee. 
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Diversity & Inclusion Network and UK Women in Economics Network (UK WEN) meetings, events and initiatives, working with the Member Operations Director, Diversity and Inclusion Chair, Women’s Committee Chair, UK WEN Chair other members of the UK WEN Steering Committee, and volunteers.
- Working with initiative leads on event organisation and administration.
- Promote our diversity initiatives by creating and facilitating internal and external communications, working with the Digital Communications Officer and social media volunteers.Â
- Maintain and develop initiative website pages, coordinating resources from Network members and working with the relevant Steering Committees to ensure the information is accurate and accessible.
- Gather impact data on the diversity initiatives to inform decision-making by initiative leads.Â
- Provide secretariat support to the Women’s Committee, including scheduling meetings, and preparation of agendas and minutes.
- Support established methods of income generation efforts related to the two networks, working with the Commercial Director.
- Support other activities that fall within the RES Diversity and Inclusion agenda on a project basis.
Essential Skills:
- At least 2 years’ experience working in programme support or administration
- Strong organisational, administrative skills and significant experience MS Office packages
- At least 1 years’ experience of using CRM and CMS systems
- Experience of evaluating and reporting on activities
- A strong commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, dealing with a range of stakeholders in a professional engaging manner
- Ability to work well within a team, with a flexible can-do approach to work
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise workload
- Degree level of education or equivalent
Desired Skills:
- Experience of promoting diversity, equality and inclusion.
- Experience of coordinating events or outreach activities
- Knowledge of and enthusiasm for economics
