What You'll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse and play a key role in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs within a secure prison environment. In this role, you will:

• Conduct triage, risk assessments, and crisis intervention• Develop and implement personalised care plans• Work within a multi-disciplinary team across early custody, planned care, and release planning• Facilitate group work and therapeutic interventions• Support the transfer of mentally ill prisoners to and from NHS hospitals

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current and valid NMC registration and pin• Prison clearance and updated mandatory training• Experience working in forensic or secure mental health settings• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This flexible role requires full-time availability with shifts spread across days and long days. The contract is ongoing with strong potential for extension.
