We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Band 5 Mental Health Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. The Trust is one of the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, specialising in mental health and learning disabilities, as well as offering physical health community-based services.

Description:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions.

You will need to be a registered mental health Nurse, have a genuine interest in working with older people and be able to demonstrate a real commitment to providing high quality and compassionate care to patients and their families. You can expect a rewarding role, with clear clinical leadership responsibilities.

The hospital has a 14 bedded ward which provides assessment and nursing care for older persons with acute mental health difficulties. We are committed to providing an exceptional standard of treatment and patient centred care for our service users in a safe, cooperative and therapeutic environment.

Skills and experience:

Registered Mental Health Nurse, Computer skills, Experience post qualifying, Successful completion of preceptorship, Commitment to lifelong learning, Ability to communicate effectively with people who have difficulty understanding, Ability to recognise and respond to behaviour that challenges, Full and detailed knowledge of all legislation relating to mental health care, Good facilitation skills, Evidence of effective interpersonal skills, Ability to organise self and others to achieve tasks, Able to co-facilitate group work, Ability to motivate service users, Good organisational skills.
