Job description

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Band6 or Band7 Occupational Health Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of employees within the workplace. You will be responsible for assessing health risks, providing patient care, and implementing health programmes that enhance occupational safety.

Duties

  • Conduct health assessments and screenings for employees to identify potential health issues.
  • Provide direct patient care, including first aid and emergency response as needed.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement health promotion initiatives.
  • Educate employees on health-related topics, including ergonomics, stress management, and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
  • Participate in the development of policies related to occupational health and safety.
  • Offer support during workplace incidents or injuries, guiding employees through recovery processes.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a valid nursing license.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational health.
  • Experience in patient care, preferably in an occupational or clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using healthcare software for record keeping.
