A leading healthcare provider in Central London is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for their Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This modern 14-bed unit offers state-of-the-art care with 24/7 support from specialised Consultant Paediatric Intensivists.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, youll take charge in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse, developing and implementing care plans for critically ill children in partnership with a multidisciplinary team. You'll act as a mentor to junior nurses while building strong relationships with patients and their families. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development through a variety of courses and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the unit in the absence of senior staff.
  • Provide holistic care for paediatric patients in intensive care.
  • Mentor junior nurses and supervise students.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

What Youll Bring:

  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with paediatric life support.
  • Postgraduate PICU experience and completion of a 60-credit PICU course.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and clinical governance.
  • Experience with audits, shift leading, and mentoring is desirable.
