We are seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our dynamic team in the oil trading industry. This role is crucial for ensuring all trade contracts are accurately entered, monitored, and compliant with corporate policies and legal standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Responsible for entering trade contracts and resolving any inconsistencies with the data provided.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Risk Management, Credit, Internal Audit, and Marketing departments to ensure all contracts conform to established corporate policies, recommending changes as needed.
  • Monitor all trade agreements to ensure compliance with trader approval limits for physical transactions.
  • Ensure that all formula pricing is established in SAP and calculating correctly.
  • Monitor purchase and sales orders to ensure they are captured in hedge and profit/loss models.
  • Create inter-company contracts as needed for accounting purposes.
  • Monitor third-party contracts for accuracy and correctness.
  • Read and analyse contracts for potential risks, investigate and resolve any differences promptly.
  • Communicate with appropriate departments regarding any potential risks and changes in contracts to customers, suppliers, and brokers.
  • Generate reports as required and assist the supervisor with special projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in Contracts within the oil company or commodity trading industry, handling both physical cargoes and derivatives.
  • Firm understanding of the operational liabilities inherent in physical commodity contracts, such as demurrage, quality control, and credit.
  • Excellent team player, sharing knowledge and experience to advance the team.
  • Thorough and methodical approach, with true attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a flair for concise and clearly-written English.
  • Confident and competent user of Microsoft Word.
