An experienced and motivated Office Administrator is needed to join a well-established, family-run domestic gas company based in Abbey Wood, South-East London. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic team, supporting the Director and ensuring the smooth running of office operations.

About the Company

The company specializes in servicing, maintaining, and installing domestic gas appliances, including central heating boilers, gas fires, and cookers. They also provide gas safety reports for landlords and letting agents. Known for their reliability and customer-focused approach, they have built a solid reputation in the local community.

Key Responsibilities

Office Management:

  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
  • Manage customer interactions, including telephone bookings and face-to-face enquiries.
  • Maintain office supplies and manage relationships with merchants for parts and supplies.
  • Update and manage customer records using the company's IT systems.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide diary management and administrative support to the Director.
  • Record invoices accurately using Sage software.
  • Update spreadsheets with landlords' gas safety record expiry dates.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations for client data storage.

Compliance & Record Keeping:

  • Register new gas appliances with Gas Safe Register and manufacturers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in office management is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Access).
  • Familiarity with Sage accounting software is beneficial.
  • Experience in the gas industry is desirable but not essential.
