Job Title: Office Manager

Location: London

We are currently recruiting for an Office Manager to join our growing contractor working in the rail, civil engineering, and construction sectors. You will be based in the main office and be the first point of contact for all office administration and support to the senior managers in the business. This is a full-time, permanent role. You will be based in the office Monday to Friday. No hybrid/remote working available. Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.

As an Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role will include managing administrative tasks, coordinating office activities, and providing support to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily office operations
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events
  • Maintain office supplies and inventory
  • Handle correspondence, phone calls, and emails
  • Assist with HR tasks such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records
  • Ensure the office environment is clean, organised, and welcoming
  • Manage office budgets and expenses
  • Liaise with vendors, service providers, and building management
  • Support the team with various administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • A proactive and positive attitude
