Design Technology (DT) Technician

Location: WandsworthHours: Full Time, 8:30 - 3:30Salary: £14- £16ph

Remedy is seeking a skilled and dedicated Design Technology (DT) Technician to join a team in a vibrant and progressive school environment. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting the delivery of high-quality design and technology education.

Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, maintain, and manage DT equipment, tools, and materials for lessons and projects.- Assist teaching staff with practical classroom activities, demonstrations, and student projects.- Ensure the safe use of machinery, tools, and materials, adhering to health and safety regulations.- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring all tools and machines are in good working order.- Support pupils with the safe and effective use of equipment during practical sessions.- Manage stock levels and order supplies when necessary.- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.Person Specification:- Previous experience in a similar DT technician role or within a workshop environment is desirable.- A solid understanding of DT machinery, tools, and safety procedures.- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support both teachers and students.- A proactive attitude toward problem-solving and ensuring high safety standards.
