Interim EHC (Education, Health & Care) Coordinator

Are you an experienced EHC Coordinator looking for a new interim opportunity? A West London council is seeking a dedicated professional to coordinate Education, Health, and Care (EHC) Plans in line with the Children & Families Act 2014.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for children, young people with SEND, and their families regarding their EHC Plans.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations in the preparation and review of EHC Plans.
  • Coordinate multi-agency meetings and work closely with education, health, and social care professionals.
  • Manage a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs, ensuring high-quality casework within statutory timelines.
  • Oversee the assessment and review processes while implementing continuous improvements
  • Provide expert advice to families, schools, and professionals on SEND-related matters.
  • Ensure financial processes and funding allocations are managed accurately.
  • Contribute to the successful transition of children and young people with complex needs between settings.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Experience working with children, young people, and families in an education, health, or social care setting.
  • Ability to lead complex multi-agency meetings and engage with stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Synergy or Mosaic is a plus (training provided).
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • An up-to-date DBS check is required.
