Job Description:As an Electrical Estimator based in our London office, you will play a crucial role in the continued success and growth of our projects. Working within a dynamic and collaborative team, you will be responsible for estimating electrical aspects of energy centre projects, contributing to the development of detailed cost estimates, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for energy centre projects, ranging from 1 million to 10 million in value.
- Collaborate with the wider project team to understand client requirements, project specifications, and other relevant details.
- Utilize your expertise to analyze project scope, identify potential risks, and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain accurate and competitive pricing for electrical components and services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and innovations to ensure accurate and informed estimations.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, preferably within the construction or building services sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components, particularly in the context of energy centre projects.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to develop accurate estimates.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with relevant estimating software/tools.
