About the Role:Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced and passionate Year 6 Teacher to join a thriving primary school in Islington. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a Key Stage 2 (KS2) class through a critical academic year, preparing students for their transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress, ensuring all pupils reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities and wider community initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 6.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Important Note:This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
