If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Temporary Maintenance Officer!
Day-to-day of the role:- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly planned maintenance tasks such as fire alarm tests, water temperature recording, and emergency lighting tests.
- Conduct planned building health & safety checks including fire door and fire safety checks.
- Deliver first line response to reactive maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.
- Perform minor building fabric spot cleaning, repairs, carpentry, decorating tasks, and plumbing repairs.
- Inspect plant rooms and boilers for leaks and general condition.
- Ensure all equipment is well maintained, adequately stored, and meets all safety requirements.
- Test portable electrical appliances as required.
- Use a range of common hand and power tools to carry out job duties.
- Assist with inspection of the condition of the grounds, building, and facilities.
- Perform general janitorial duties and ad-hoc porterage duties as requested.
- Maintain accurate digital documentation and provide excellent customer service to residents.
- Proactively monitor communal areas and all floors, reporting and following up on any health & safety, maintenance, or cleaning issues.
- Experience in risk assessment or a health & safety qualification.
- Experience in door maintenance/carpentry and building cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Building trade or health & safety/facilities management qualification.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment.
- Excellent communication skills and IT/systems skills.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to manage own workload effectively and under pressure.
- Ability to accurately input information on a database or information systems.
- Competitive hourly rate of £15 - £18.
