MINOR WORKS CO-ORDINATORThe Projects and Minor Works and Faculty Services teams at a prestigious London university are responsible for facilities management, services, operational ICT, construction and refurbishment projects, minor works and space planning.  This post holder will be responsible for planning and delivering continual minor works and minor projects to ensure all spaces at the university are presented professionally, using excellent information management and communication skills. You will work autonomously; organising and planning your own work activities and will be required to work flexibly in order to respond to changing demands to meet service delivery and customer service requirements. You will be excellent at multitasking, communicating, and organising schedules, have great attention to detail and using your initiative to complete tasks.  MINOR WORKS CO-ORDINATOR ROLE:
  • Proactively monitoring all spaces in the School for signs of wear and tear, ensuring maintenance and professionalism
  • Organising and overseeing minor works across the School as required
  • Overseeing contractors delivering services in the School, ensuring adherence to college safety policies
  • Resolving minor works issues with a hands-on proactive approach where applicable
  • Working closely with the Faculty Services team to resolve ongoing defects and minor work issues
  • Ordering new furniture for staff and student areas, liaising with manufacturers for timely deliveries
  • Communicating with staff and students regarding work timelines and feedback considerations
  • Assisting with the delivery of projects on behalf of the School
  • Monitoring the progress of minor projects, reporting to key stakeholders and project coordinators
  • Ensuring contractors adhere to safety processes, completing necessary documentation for site work
  MINOR WORKS CO-ORDINATOR ESSENTIALS:
  • Experience working in Minor Works previously
  • Experience in higher education is beneficial
