I am currently representing Tower Hamlets Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 12 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate(InsIR35) which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Procurement Business Partner this role will be: Hybrid E1 1BJ

The right candidate will:

To provide procurement advice and support to procurement projects delivered by the Housing Management Department:

Working with business managers and project teams to improve procurement and contract management within the department and to ensure legislative requirements are met and corporate objectives and value for money are successfully achieved.

Supporting the delivery of the Housing Management procurement plan

Supporting the management of procurement processes including implementation of council governance ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are met

  • To provide procurement advice and support using templates and tools provided.
  • To perform key procurement tasks including producing procurement project plans, market research/ analysis, conducting contract/service lessons learned sessions, compiling tender documents for a range of procurements
  • To ensure all procurement projects are compliant and adhere to relevant rules and regulations, (including leaseholder Section 20 consultation)
  • To manage procurement projects and tender processes ensuring appropriate procurement routes are followed and robust evaluation is undertaking including chairing moderation/ deliberation meetings.

We require the following:

  • Knowledge and understanding of public sector procurement process including regulatory framework
  • Knowledge of Leaseholder consultation requirements
  • CIPs qualified or appropriate level of experience
  • Work experience relating to procurement in a public sector housing environment
