Robertson Bell are excited to be supporting a historical, household name, organisation based in Central London to recruit a Payroll Officer on an initial six month contract. This role will give you the opportunity to work within a cohesive payroll team due to undergo a period of change where you can exercise your skills and provide continuity. 

Our client offers a flexible working pattern that will require you to be in the office two days per week.

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for: 

  • Day-to-day payroll processes, ensuring all deadlines are adhered to.
  • Offering assistance in the processing of the payroll for around 2500 employees, ensuring all relevant deductions are made in-line with HMRC regulations.
  • Providing crucial insight into relevant NI, PAYE and HMRC policies by communicating with a variety of internal stakeholders to answer payroll related queries.
  • Maintaining effective internal communication, working closely with the pensions team to ensure exact deductions are made in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with reconciling the payroll on a monthly basis, providing essential evidence during this process.

The successful canidate will:

  • Have worked in a similar role.
  • Be comfortable working in a changing environment. 
  • Understand statutory payroll requirements.
