A London market insurance business is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Specialist to join the team on an interim basis to support while other team members concentrate on integration projects.Key duties will include liaising closely with external payroll partners, inputting data into the payroll system, handling starter/leaver details and bank information, manually adjusting statutory maternity pay (SMP), statutory sick pay (SSP), pay rates, and other adjustments, maintain payroll records and prepare reports as needed, collaborate with HR and accounting departments to streamline payroll processes, perform regular reconciliations and audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy of employee pay information, improve and implement processes and internal controls, owning payroll-related, monthly reporting process including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts, act as a main point-of-contact for employees on questions relating to their pay, managing payroll queries from HR and external payroll vendor in a fast-paced environment, and support with other administrative and ad hoc tasks as required.The ideal candidate will have a passion for numbers and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that payroll processes run smoothly and efficiently.Suitable applicants will need to have strong UK, EMEA, APEC regions end to end payroll experience, have the ability to perform payroll duties with minimal training, have experience in onboarding and offboarding on a large scale, have knowledge of payrolling benefits in kind, PSA P11d for UK region, and have a desire to progress and improve a payroll function.ADP payroll system experience is an essential requirement for this position.
