Job Description: Interim Payroll Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interim Payroll Specialist to join a professional services firm on an ongoing interim assignment. In this role, you will work with the Payroll Manager to process and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This interim position is essential to maintaining seamless payroll operations during a transitional period. The company can look at a day rate route or Fixed Term Contract. Experience with SAP is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:

    • Processing end to end Payroll, using SAP Employee Central/Employee Central Payroll

    • Handle payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and deductions.

  2. Systems and Tools:

    • Use SAP to manage payroll functions efficiently.

    • Identify and troubleshoot system issues and implement process improvements where necessary.

  3. Employee Support:

    • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

    • Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures to staff and management.

  4. Other Duties:

    • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to align payroll processes with organizational goals.

    • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: Proven track record with 3 years of payroll processing experience, SAP payroll system experience is essential.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll systems and tax regulations.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP payroll system, as well as recent and up to date payroll processing experience

  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to manage and process accurate and timely payroll in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating across teams and handling employee inquiries.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement solutions independently.

  • Confidentiality: High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive payroll data.
