This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced Payroll Manager and a collaborative Human Resources and Personnel team, where you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of their payroll processes.

About the Role

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for weekly and monthly employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. You'll work closely with the Payroll Manager and HR team to support the wider business and contribute to the overall success of the payroll function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly and weekly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.

  • Maintain and update payroll records, including new starters, leavers, and changes to employee details.

  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, pension schemes, and other statutory requirements.

  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and external stakeholders.

  • Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and audits.

  • Support the Payroll Manager with ad-hoc tasks and projects.

  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure seamless integration between payroll and HR systems.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a similar payroll administration role.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, HMRC regulations, and pension schemes.

  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
