Job Title: Temporary Payroll OfficerLocation: Canary WharfPay Rate: £18/hour  - £20/hourWe are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Payroll Officer to join our client based in Canary Wharf.. This is a fast-paced consulting firm and we are looking for a Temporary Payroll Officer for between 4 to 8 weeks. You will be responsible for processing the monthly UK payroll as well as running a smaller international payroll on a fortnightly basis. The ideal candidate will be confident using a range of systems, have an excellent eye for detail and solid understanding of the full payroll process.  What You Will DoYour day to day responsibilities will include: 
  • Process monthly payroll for all UK employees, including calculating and processing bonuses and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all applicable UK tax laws including National Insurance
  • Track and process statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and pension contributions 
  • Prepare and file all required payroll tax reports, including Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC
  • Collaborate with international payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for employees in other countries.
  • Assist with audits and other compliance activities as needed.
What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a detail oriented and organised candidate. Key skills include:
  • Min. 2 years relevant experience in a similar role processing UK and international payroll
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation 
  • Experience with payroll software 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships 
  • Able to respond to queries quickly and 
  • Ability to work to deadlines and good time management skills
