We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to oversee and manage payroll operations for our Group companies. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in payroll management, particularly within recruitment agencies, and a deep understanding of compliance regulations such as CIS, Umbrella, and Ltd Co setups.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee payroll processing for the Group companies using bespoke software tailored for CIS, Umbrella, and Ltd Company formats.
  • Manage pensions, salary sacrifice schemes, and employee benefits including Electric Vehicles (EV).
  • Process Benefits in Kind and ensure accurate submission of all EPS, RTI, and FPS to relevant authorities.
  • Oversee compliance with CIS and Intermediary reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with the IT department on CRM and system development, including enhancements to the company website.
  • Work closely with the resourcer to ensure candidate compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Resolve any payroll-related queries from employees or management promptly and efficiently.
  • Engage with the wider finance team to ensure cohesive financial operations and reporting.
  • Conduct IR35 reviews and manage the CIS and umbrella components effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably within a recruitment agency setting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems, particularly those designed for CIS, Umbrella, and Ltd Company payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with pensions, salary sacrifice schemes, and processing Benefits in Kind.
  • Excellent understanding of compliance regulations related to CIS, IR35, and intermediary reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and contributing to system development projects.
