Payroll Supervisor - £45,000 to £55,000 + Benefits - Wandsworth SW London - (5 days on site)

FryerMiles is partnering with an industry leading hospitality organisation in Southwest London, who are recruiting a Payroll Supervisor to support on a permanent basis during this exciting period. 

Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager the Payroll Supervisor will support with daily payroll function, whereby the employees trust they will be paid accurately and timely. This role is crucial in supporting the operation of payroll activities while ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and timely processing across multiple payroll tasks.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Payroll Administration: Prepare and process weekly and four-weekly payrolls in collaboration with the Payroll Bureau and guidance from the Senior Payroll Manager. Assist with monthly payroll as required. Ensure all payroll adjustments, including tronc payments, are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Employee Record Management: Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date employee documents, records, and personal data, including pension and statutory information.
  • Data Accuracy: Review weekly rotas, communicate with restaurant managers and HR teams to address errors or queries related to hours, absences, and employee records.
  • Payroll Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including SSP, SMP, SPP, attachment of earnings, NMW/NLW, and pension documentation. Ensure the accurate processing of payments and deductions for new starters and leavers.
  • Assist with payroll tasks such as processing P45s, administering sickness/maternity/paternity leave documents and completing payroll closing reports for approval.
  • Year-End & Audit Support: Assist with year-end payroll activities, distribution of P11Ds, and audits/reconciliations.
  • Pension and Benefits Administration: Provide assistance in the administration of the Pension Scheme and other employee benefits.
  • Query Resolution: Respond to payroll queries confidently and provide support to restaurant teams, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Process and Policy Adherence: Contribute to the development and implementation of payroll procedures and policies. Ensure all processes meet deadlines and compliance requirements.
